Sweetness

It's been a rough week over here with Ashlynn fighting nighttime fevers over the weekend and some fluke stomach bug on Tuesday, after a loooong self requested nap yesterday, I'm hoping she's on the mend.  Kenley is finally cutting her molars, so I'm hoping her sleep improves soon too.

Luckily, we've been entertained with giving and receiving Valentines.  In addition to the swap we participated and shared yesterday, we were invited to another swap this time being paired up with another blogger for a little mommy Valentine gift swap and of course, Valentine's for all the littles. Ashlynn was def feeling quite loved with all the heart shaped mail.

I was lucky enough to be Erin's Valentine and she nailed it.  The requisite heart shaped and themed  plate from Target and two sets of cookie cutters - assorted sizes of hearts and rectangles!  And the most amazing hot pink disco dust, the holy grail of edible glitter.  I had the grandest plans to make some sugar cookies, but the needy children and early wake up calls kept my motivation away.  I don't have either set of cutters yet, and the versatility of the rectangles is kind of blowing my mind, the possibilities! I already have my Valentine cookies planned, just need to bake them!

Lex sent Ashlynn (and Kenley), the cutest mermaid valentine with jelly bracelets and crayons.  An obvious hit over here.

I was Tawnya's secret admirer, so if you're interested in what I sent her, check out her post here.

A big thanks to Karra who organized the swap days away from delivering her beautiful baby girl! We had so much fun!

  1. Oh gosh I hope everyone is better asap -- molars and sickness throw everyONE and everyTHING off. Can't wait to see your valentine cookies! I have plans to make some, but I'm not sure I'll get 'round to it. Maybe today will be the day. I love the bracelet you gave Tawnya! Do you mind sharing where it's from?

  6. The bracelet is from a Canadian etsy shop, Blush and Blink. I thought it'd be quicker to order something in Canada then sending something from the US.

  8. No, you nailed it so hard. Like I really kind of was just expecting random Target $1 stuff or nailpolish, you know the regular go to's for "small gifts", but you really got something perfect!
