With the girls born in opposite seasons I lacked the right sizes for winter gear and summer rompers to pass down from Ashlynn to Kenley. And now that Kenley is weeks away from packing up all her 3-6 month clothing for good, I used last week's 40% regular price items at Baby Gap to stock her up for summer.
Luckily, we have plenty of jeans, leggings, sweaters, pajamas, and longsleeve bodysuits in 6-12 months since Ashlynn was pretty much in that size from October through last summer. I had only bought most of her summer rompers and dresses in 12-18 and stopped using onesies as soon as she could walk. Kenley will be set for fall, but until then, I got her a handful of cute lightweight bodysuits to get her through those hot summer days.
Actually, Ashlynn still fits in her denim 6-12m shorts, so looks like they'll be sharing those. I knew my girls would one day share clothes, just didn't realize it'd be so soon!

Aren't shorts the weirdest? We still have some 6-12 month ones lex doesn't fit into...
ReplyDeletePurple is my favorite 'girly' color, as I'm not a pink loving girl mom. Since we just found out we are having a boy, we packed up all of my LO old clothes and I was saddest about her sweet baby girl rompers
ReplyDeleteOh, ordering that 3-pack of onsies for my first niece (on the way) NOW!! :) All adorable choices, Kenley will be extra cute in them!!
ReplyDeleteYou can use the code TREAT today for 40% off regular priced items too. The girls Gap clothing is just too cute. I can't stop myself from buying ALL OF IT!
ReplyDeleteI'm going through something similar right now - my first daughter was born in Spetember 2011 and I just had my second daughter a month ago. I'm taking advantage of all the sales now!
ReplyDeleteI am really loving all the purple these days!! its just a fun girly color without being too girly. I totally need to take advantage of those 40% off sales - GAP is so expensive otherwise!
ReplyDeleteI love purple for the spring! Baby shorts always have the strangest sizing. My daughter is two, and still wears her 3-6 shorts.
ReplyDeleteLOL! OMG 3-6m shorts! Though, I shouldn't laugh since Ashlynn still fits in 0-3m dresses, as tunics or tops of course. I'm just glad all the 12-18m shorts I got last year that were too big and I had to roll at the waist fit perfectly this year, and hopefully fit K next year... bang for my buck!
ReplyDeleteLuckily we have a lot of things that work, but this is my one major gap... oh well, I'll never complain about HAVING to shop ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip!
ReplyDeleteLoving the lavender. Such a nice compliment to the radiant orchid that is all the craze!
