Party of TWO!

I haven't really been putting tons of planning into Ashlynn's 2nd birthday party.  At least, not like I did for her first. And probably rightfully so, since this celebration will be on a much smaller scale, not that it's any less important.

Her second year has been just as amazing as her first.  She's grow so much and learned even more.  Everyday she surprises me with her knowledge and wit.

And since she still doesn't fully grasp the idea of a birthday celebration other than parties include some cake, I figured we'd plan it around some of her favorite things.  And no, it's not Mickey Mouse.

Ever since she started her love for "blub blubs", now "feesh", girlfriend loves all things sea life.  Mermaids, "Ne-no", and "Dough-wee" included.

A bigger love, tea parties.

We are excited for her little friends to join her for a tea party under the sea!  In addition to real tea party treats, we'll have play treats, themed dress up, and some fun activities for the littles to play.  I don't want to go full character party, since I'm sure we'll have plenty of those in our future and it's a little easier to mix and match the sea with the tea by just sticking to colors.

Can't wait to share some of the fun ideas I have up my sleeve, fingers crossed I get some time and they work out!

  8. We got another Van Fleet book recently and I was sooo impressed, I finally pulled the trigger and bought the mermaid book. Wanted to save it for her birthday, but gave it to her early, since it's the perfect way to get her excited about it :) We'll have to add the other one to collection too!

  9. Can CC come?? She LOVES Ariel and all things under the sea. Super cute. I'd say a 'theme' and an inspiration board still means you are putting forth a good amount of effort on this one. Love it.
