If you've been following me for years, you know I'm big on St. Patrick's Day. For some reason, and not solely for the green beer, I have always loved the holiday. As a kid, my mom always made us corned beef and cabbage, and I remember picking out my perfect green outfit weeks in advance. I still have the tendency to think "this is great for St. Pat's!" when buying an emerald green shirt. Sure, there wasn't surprise presents under a tree or wishes to make while blowing candles, but maybe because I'm 25% Irish (but have a name that sounds way more), I just always looked forward to March 17th.
Because of this, I have a tendency to stock pile green for the girls. I've never been big on the "My 1st -insert holiday here-" shirts, because I always wait until the week or day of for them to wear it and then retire it, and I'm cheap. I'd rather spend the money on something that can be worn over and over, not just once.
Either way, here are some the outfits I have ready for the little girlfriends to start rocking t hese next few weeks.

Ashlynn is already schooling her little sis on all things St. Patrick's Day!
When Irish Eyes Are Smiling!
such cute outfits!!
ReplyDeleteYes!! The girls look (and will look) adorable in all their GREEN!! I love each and every outfit!!
ReplyDeleteCute green options. I bet it has been easier this year because kelly green seems to be trendy and in a lot of kids clothing lines right now.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh they are the cutest! I just realized today that my LO only owns one green shirt, which is weird because it's one of my go to colors. Time to get shopping!!
ReplyDeleteSt. Patrick's Day was always big when we were kids too. We are a little bit Irish by mom's birthday is the 17th. We always wore special green outfits and celebrated. When I get a green top I think the same thing as you! I have that same Minnie Mouse shirt for Callie and as soon as I unpack it it's time to be worn!
ReplyDeleteDo you have any St. Patrick's day book recs? My fave part of the holidays is getting a new book for Aria, but I didn't have any luck finding a rec list for St. Patty's. Love all the green outfits, you are prepared!
ReplyDeleteWe only have the touch and feel book shown above and a S is for Shamrock hardback that's for older kids (still very cute, it's a celtic themed A-Z book). I almost bought A a Mickey St.Pat's paperback, but havent yet. Definitely less options for this holiday!
ReplyDeleteThey seriously are the cutest!! Love all the green, emerald is my fav!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, how cute!! Adorable outfits, I think I'd wear some of them. ;) St Patty's is a great day, I blame my love for it on the color GREEN (+ a little Irish-ness doesn't hurt).
ReplyDeleteSuch cute outfits. I wish boys could accessorize more! Green is our favorite colors too! Actually, Owen seems to gravitate toward blue, but Keith and I like Kelly Green, so he wear it a lot.
ReplyDeleteLove these adorable outfits! I love any and all holidays so I have my daughter's onesie and bow ready ;) I also got them St. Patrick's Day pajamas.
ReplyDeleteI love the outfits! I'm a big holiday person. I didn't overly used to be before Mason but now I love to dress him up whenever I can :) (poor boy!). I actually did all the "my 1st - whatever - holiday" his first year and kind of regret it. I think I did it mainly for picture purposely but like you said, I would rather have him be able to wear something more than once. He has some great green shirts that I can't wait to dress him in everyday until March 17th!
ReplyDeleteLove!!!! All such adorable outfits!!!
ReplyDeleteoh man those outfits are adorable!!!! we gotta get on our st.patty day gear!
ReplyDeleteWe LOVE St. Patrick's Day at our house too!! My little girl already has an abundance of green and gold items to wear all month long. I also tend to go with clothing items that she can wear long term rather than just on the holiday. Your girls are ADORABLE!! I love the outfits you put together for them!! It's going to be a fun month at both of our houses :) Whitney @ http://polka-dottyplace.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteI just came across your blog and I'm so glad I did! I love these little St. Patrick's Day outfits you've put together! I have a little girl around the same age as your oldest and this post has given me that extra push I needed to get out and find something cute for St. Pat's Day for her!

So glad you found my little corner! Welcome!
ReplyDeleteThe outfits that you have for your girls are so cute. Do you have
ReplyDeletetraditions that you do every year for St. Patrick's Day? I love
celebrating the "less popular" (aka less commercial) holidays but
sometimes run out of ideas on things that I can do with my little one to
celebrate the holiday. I would love to hear what you have in store for
this year!
Generally, nothing big, but this is the first year with a toddler so I'm sure we will start adding more activities and traditions in the future. Growing up we always had corned beef and cabbage, I don't eat red meat anymore so I usually make something that pulls Irish inspiration or ingredients. I also make Irish Potato candy and hoping to add Soda Bread to my routine. A friend of mine plants clovers which I think is really cute. Maybe something like a "treasure hunt" like an easter egg hunt, but searching for the leprechauns gold? I'm sure pinterest has lots of ideas ha!
