A bit delayed in my wishes, but I think I get a pass.
Yesterday, I turned 31 and spent the day celebrating with my family of course. We didn't do anything special, actually I let the Husband sleep in (for shame!) and I got up with Ashlynn and made cinnamon buns which we devoured before he even woke. We played and enjoyed our morning, after lunch I got my free Starbucks birthday latte and we headed to Ikea (fun times people turning 31, I tell ya!). We didn't find what we were looking for, but did manage to pick up a few extra picture frames, new curtains, a children's Latt table for the playroom since I'd like to keep Ashlynn's ikea hack table in her room, and a bag of swedish fish.
Husband did dinner and bath for Ashlynn, while I nursed Kenley and then enjoyed my second cinnamon bun and some of our Anniversary wine that we postponed drinking since I was pregnant. And good thing too because it was ridiculously good and I would have been pissed missing out! After my glass (since my tolerance is still so, so, so low) we had ice cream cake - a tradition and my favorite.
It was the perfect way to bring in the new year. Simple and loving with family. Pretty much all I strive for in this year ahead. I haven't really made any sweeping resolutions, but I am working on a list of goals to attain and things to work on as a person. I'll share them as soon a really wrap my head around them.
I also have Kenley's 1 Month Update post coming, her nursery tour, our family photos, and 31 Facts About Me post that drafted back in the Fall. Lots to look forward to this year, can't wait!
Happy New Year, Friends!
