[Wednesday's Weekly Check-In] Week 50

(sorry, iphone pics only this week, something happened to my memory card and it's not uploading, any advice welcome!)

Health:
Teething like crazy, but you'd barely know!  Her bottom right is trying so hard to make it's appearance, you can see it right there under the gums, I don't know how she's holding it together so well.  We also stopped by the pediatrician to get the diaper rash, that returned again, checked out.  She wasn't sure what it was so gave us one RX and if it doesn't clear it up, she'll call in a different.  It seemed to help a bit, but not clearing it like I'd hope.  Going to put a call in for the other day.

Sleep:
Through the night!

Except for Monday night when she woke at 11:30pm in tears, no doubt from that tooth.  I gave her some tylenol and snuggles, and she just was squirming and not happy when I tried to get her to go back to sleep.  I brought her downstairs to watch a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse to distract her until the medicine kicked in.  I'm sure that's probably not recommended by the AAP or any mom that refuses tv, let alone tv before bed in the middle of the night, but it worked for us.  Made her smile and she snuggled in my arms and was ready to sleep about halfway through. Which are the only two things I wanted.

She's back on track with her naps too. In the beginning of the week she was taking 30 minute ones, but she's back to her 60-90minute snoozefests.  Although, it's time for a teething guard.  You's think one our dogs thought her crib was a bone.  I had a mini heartattack when I saw it.  I was expected some teething chew marks, not gnawed off crib.  I asked around, even to some momma's with the same crib, and apparently I'm not alone.  Right now, I have some fabric tied over, but I'll try to whip up something more official.

Clothes:
Mainly 6-12.  I did squeeze her into a 3-6M onesie and aside from the bracelet length sleeves, it kind of fit.  And to contradict her tininess, I unloaded all her 12-18M clothes from storage.  She fits fine in the tees, and I'm starting to favor them over onesies.  Since she's mainly upright these days, they aren't riding up like they do on a infant, and they make diaper changes that much quicker.  Which I know she appreciates, since she's usually crawling away before I get to the onesie snaps.

Oh and she's officially in 6-12 socks and Size 3 shoes, goodbye newborn feet!  Who am I kidding, they are still itty bitty!

Social:
Auntie Abby came over on Thursday to finally see the house and hang with A.  The weekend happened. And Monday and Tuesday were low key.  Today we are going to attempt story time at the library if naps play out right.

Oh and I finally got out for a mani/pedi on Friday since the Husband was home to watch A.  I haven't been in since last summer, was so nice to have mental and physical break.  I don't do much "me time", so it was a real treat!  (Is that sad?)

Diet:
Lots of fun new foods this week.  We did try egg yolk, so far no noticed reaction.  She also is really eating our food.  I made crockpot chicken tacos on Monday and she loved it.  She also was pretty into chopped up grape tomatoes and asparagus.  And as usual only eating bananas in her pancakes.

Crying:
Aside from the one rough night, and a few times where she was clingy, she's been so pleasant and happy.  You really wouldn't even guess that a tooth is cutting it's way through her gums.

Milestones:
First Easter and even more steps.  She's definitely getting closer to walking, just building confidence.

We also had our photo shoot outside, so this was really the first time she was able to explore the grass.  Last time it was warm enough to really play outside she was too small to go anywhere.  Of course, we are back in a cold snap, but I can't wait for it to warm up so we can start enjoying the park.

  1. She is just adorable. I wish I kept up with my weekly check-in's with Noah but that was a #momfail for me. I love all the new things they are learning (your little one is about 20 weeks ahead of us) and how fun and exciting it is to see them learn the little things like waving, clapping and taking steps.
