The Before

Holy.  I've barely sat down in a week friends.  Cleaning, painting, unpacking, organizing, shopping, renovating... and on and on.  We've already gotten to work, but I'll just start with the befores.  I didn't take any pictures of the house empty so here are the pictures from the prior owner.

Aside from some necessary maintenance - the hot water heater that was replaced yesterday since the old one (which was only a year old) was hooked up incorrectly and leaking carbon monoxide (!), the roof that's getting replaced ASAP, and the basement overhaul - we'll be slowly working on making over the whole house from top to bottom to make it our home.

I'll try to update soon with some of the changes we've already tackled, if you're feeling impatient, checkout my instagram feed at the bottom of the right sidebar :)

  5. What a wonderful house! Take it easy ... I can't wait to see the progress. We are moving at some point this year too (and waiting for the new house in an apt - UGH)... kinda dreading the process, but I'm trying to look forward to the fun things (decorating etc).

  6. What a beautiful home!! So large and spacious. That dining room is just lovely with the pannels. The basement is great too. What a headache though with all the needed repairs.
