[Paper Doll Polyvore] Fall Fancies

Even though the weather is still in the 90s, I can't help be but be suckered in by all the new fall arrivals...

So, in addition to the ever growing wishlists I create, I've been styling up a storm over on Polyvore...  so much so, I've talked myself into some new MUST HAVE items...

Let's take a peek....

I fell in love with this cardi when one of Kim's readers wore it in her Reader's Outfits Feature last week.  I went to Old Navy the next day, but sadly my size wasn't in stock and by the time I got back online it was SOLD OUT... womp womp

As you all know, I've dying for the Deco Page Cardigan. Reluctant to drop $98 for a cotton sweater, I've held out... that is until I scored it for less via eBay over the weekend!!

Remember in my last wishlist when I said the Loft Vintage Yellow Cardi and the J.Crew Gingham Shirt would be a great outfit??  Yeah, it could only get better with the inclusion of a seasonal latte ;)

The Deco Page Cardigan set above proved that I NEEDED the Petal Stream Tank in English Saddle... able to show that the tank has seasonal versatility, here's an odd man out "summer set" -- don't you just love random rationalization??

After learning the Loft Long V-Neck Cardigan didn't come in Vintage Yellow in petite sizes (boohoo), I thought I'd see if I could mix in the Feathered Green with the newly marked down Sunday Supper Shirt (another item that's been on my wishlist for weeks....)

And last, but certainly not least, my favorite fall inspired set....   The Pick a Bunch Cardi is the stunner on the cover of the August Anthro catalog that I drooled over yesterday...  ohhh how I love, yet HATE the $128 price tag ::curses!!::

Anyone else dreaming of Fall Fashion??

PS - Dear Justine, you subliminally influenced my title today, ha!

and yes, both a navy gingham shirt and mustard yellow cardi are on my new list... I'm hoping J.Crew outlet can help a girl out, but not until NEXT MONTH!!

  4. Happy Weekend! I wanted to give you a heads up, the JCrew Petal Stream Tank is in Saddle is on sale for $35 online. After seeing the new price, I had to have it and went to my local B&M store yesterday to try it on and I hate to say but I was really disappointed. I tried on an XS in Saddle and it was very thin and shapeless and the pedals definitely don't look as nice in person as they do in pictures. The petals were very frayed and cheap looking. I looked at all the shirts in the pile and they were all the same way. Maybe it's just me, I just expected it to look more polished and not frayed. I ended up getting another petal shirt at Forever21 for $18 instead, that I suprisingly liked better. Anyway, since it's on sale, check it out. Just wanted to give you a heads up. Have a great weekend!

  5. Hi Nicole! Thanks for the heads up, I actually saw the price drop on Thursday on ordered the XXS then.

I had tried the XS on instore on Tuesday and it definitely ran big (the arm holes were gapping) so I hope sizing down will help. I agree that the petals weren't as fluttery as I had hoped, but I wonder if they'll get more life with wear since the top I tried on seemed to have been recently unpacked.... I'm just so sucked in by the color! haha

  6. I totally agree with the color! It is gorgeous and the perfect color for fall! I hope they incorporate that color into a sweater or two this fall season! Please keep us updated when you get your shirt! I am not against getting it, I was just bummed that they had nothing smaller than an XS to try on! :) I couldn't get a good feel for it.

  7. Tracking says it'll come today, so I'll take some pics to post a review :) I do agree that the petals were a bit of a let down in store, I guess I just looked past them since I want it mainly for layering.

And SOO annoying that they don't carry the XXS in store! Like, if you are going to vanity size the clothes, have them all instock! ::grumbles and kicks a can for having to pay shipping::
