Recipe Share Sunday: Chocolate Chip Eggnog Balls

Welcome readers to the Christmas Cookie Edition of Recipe Share Sunday... I like to cook, but I love to bake, so the Holidays are a great excuse to breakout all my seasonal cookie recipes I have compiled from my mom's recipe journal and leave the chocolate chip and sugar cookie boringness for the rest of the year - just don't tell my husband that.

First up in this month long edition, we have Chocolate Chip Eggnog Balls. Not only are these little treats super tasty, I love the added variety they give a gifted tin of cookies. 

And yes, even though I just publicly outed my inner Martha due to my love for baking, my first installment will be a "no-bake" recipe. 

2  3oz packages cream cheese, softened
4 C powdered sugar
1 Tbsp heavy cream
1 tsp brandy extract
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1/2 C miniature chocolate chips
1 1/4 C finely chopped pecans

  • Combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, heavy cream, brandy extract, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.  Beat until creamy.
  • Stir in miniature chocolate chips
  • Drop by rounded tsp onto cookie sheet
  • Refrigerate for 5 minutes or until chilled
  • Roll into balls and coat with nuts
  • Keep refrigerated and enjoy!
Makes approx. 3 1/2 dozen.
